If you, like me, are a New Yorker subscriber who is furious about their Obamas-as-Muslim-terrorists satirical cover misfire, you might want to do something about it. Here’s what I’m doing. I’m sending the cover to the New Yorker’s Letters to the Editor section. I figure this is enough of a message to make my point.
I also wrote “Subscription Cancelled” to let them know I am no longer getting their magazine (which pains me, I admit. It’s a fine magazine). But even if you want to keep your subscription, this lets them know that some of us get the joke and still think it shows, at least, poor judgment to feature the cartoon on the cover and at most could actually hurt Obama’s election chances.
In case you can’t read the address, it’s: The Mail. The New Yorker. 4 Times Square. New York, NY 10036.
