Listen to Ward 3 Democratic City Council candidates on Buckmaster Show

If you live in Ward 3 of the City of Tucson and vote Democratic, you will be receiving a ballot for the upcoming primary for the Council seat, being vacated by 3 term Councilwoman Karin Uhlich.  Three Democrats are running — Felicia Chew, a teacher at Mansfeld Middle School; Paul Durham, former Chief of Staff for Ward 6 Councilwoman Nina Trasoff and a retired attorney; Tom Tronsdal, owner of Canyon Fence Company and also an attorney.  They will face off with Independent Gary Watson, employee at NW Fire Dept. in the General Election. (There is no Republican candidate running for this open seat.)

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik announces retirement

35 year veteran Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik announced on the  Buckmaster radio show today that he will be resigning his office sometime this year. His successor will be appointed by the Pima County Bd. of Supervisors, and the Sheriff recommended that his replacement be his Chief Deputy Chris Nanos.   Dupnik would have been up for re-election in 2016 for his 9th term.
