Tennis, sunrise and roosters

by David Safier
I was playing doubles this morning, and my partner Karl kept hitting blistering forehands right at George, who was standing at the net. George kept hitting them right back.

After a lost point, Karl turned to me and said, "Getting the ball past George is like getting sunrise past a rooster."

Thought you might enjoy that line as much as I did.

  1. Hey Dave:
Great quote. George must be a good volleyer at the net or he’s lucky! I love to play the net and angle volley! It’s a real challenge.
