Visit the "blog" of "unnecessary" quotation marks and see signs from all over with those I-don't-know-what-the-hell-I'm-doing quotes.
Once my local market went through a major remodel. When it reopened, I felt uncomfortable every time I walked in but couldn't figured out why. Then I realized there were banners hanging all over the store that read, 15th Street Market Challanges the Competition. I must have felt a subconscious compulsion to take out a marker and change every second "a" in "challanges" on every banner to an "e." After I realized the problem, I felt better.
Sumtimes I think being an English teacher "ruins" yu for life.
