With the holidays coming up, Governor Ducey has announced that the deadline to apply for one of the four non-attorney members of the Commission of Appellate Court Appointments is January 3, 2020.
There are a total of 15 members on the commission. Five are attorneys and ten are non-attorneys.
Having a seat on this commission is important because these individuals are the ones that recommend candidates to:
- The Arizona Supreme Court.
- The Appellate Courts
- The 25 Finalists to the Independent Redistricting Commission.
The Independent Redistricting Commission is the regulating body that decides how Congressional and Legislative Districts are drawn up.
In an email sent to Democratic Party public servants and activists, Arizona Democratic Party Deputy Political Director Franny Sharpe reminded everyone that, currently, there is only one person of color on the Commission and no Democrats.
Democratic public servants and activists that are interested in applying for one of the four open seats need to click here to access the application.
For additional assistance, please contact Franny Sharpe at fsharpe@azdem.org.
The deadline is January 3, 2020.

Then Ducey finds some fake Democrats to continue his court packing efforts, with two disasters in a row on the SC. Maybe a bunch of pseudo Democrats for the IRC too, so the one party dictatorship can continue with more genius like. . . well the the list is so long, headed by Townsend, and Finchem.
