Holy Fecal Matter
The People in the Know-Nothing Party Strike Again raising ignorance and gullibility to new heights.
According to a Reuter/Ipos Poll:
- Almost half of the Republican Party believe the January 6, 2021, Trumpist inspired Domestic Terrorist Attack on the Nations Capitol, despite all the evidence to the contrary, was the work of Anti Trump Activists
- Another sixty percent of the members of the former Party of Lincoln still think, again despite the preponderance of the evidence, that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen from Trump.
- This same percentage also wants the twice impeached, twice KKK endorsed candidate, and twice Popular Vote Loser to run for the Presidency again in 2024.
It is mind-boggling and nauseating that despite all the visual and documentary evidence, such a significant number of individuals still subscribe to the fringe big lies of the attempted January 6 2021 insurrection and the 2020 Presidential Election results.
Of course, it does not help when you have people like Trump and examples of enablers like Karen Fann, Kelli Ward, and Paul Gosar in Arizona feeding these untruths.
Trump Fleeces Campaign Supporters.
This continuing slide of the reactionary gullible into the Trump Zone, Fox Island, and any alt-right social media site that caters to the whims of ignorant and fringe individuals may also explain how the Trump/Pence Campaign was able to fleece/dupe campaign contributions from many of its supporters by prechecking online donation boxes so contributors would donate on a reoccurring basis to the election and post-election events.
One of these Trump supporters who was taken advantage of, according to reporting from the Hill, was “Stacy Blatt, a 63-year-old patient in hospice care who donated $500 to the Trump campaign in September.”
Unfortunately for Ms. Blatt and the others who did not realize what was done, she did not uncheck the reoccurring donation boxes.
She wound up donating $3,000 to the Trump/Pence Campaign and she died from cancer in February.
Try blaming what happened to Ms. Blatt and others that donated to Trump and saw their bank accounts shrink a left-wing conspiracy.
The Trump/Pence Campaign had to return $122 million in campaign donations to supporters who did not intend to make reoccurring donations.
It would be interesting to find out how many people they were still able to swindle and how many millions of dollars they were able to keep.
It will also be interesting to see how many people when faced with the fact that their man tried to steal money from them will finally sever the cord and break with Mr. Trump.
It will also be depressing to see how many stay.
Moving Forward
There have always been people that have believed the big lie throughout episodes in history.
Think about the hysteria and misperceptions surrounding:
- The Salem Witch Hunts and Trials.
- The Red Scares after World Wars One and Two.
- The linkage of Iraq to the events of 9/11.
Unfortunately, the level of susceptibility to the Big Lie, even with easier access to the truth, is not declining as the power of fringe right-wing social media allows such disinformation to fester.
It is essential that the agents for facts and reality not give up the fight to convince everyone what the actual truth is.
A Democracy can not survive if a substantial number of its citizens are falling prey to the false soundbites from the Trump Zone, Fox Island, or Disinfowars.
The war for reality needs to be won if the Amerian Ideal is to endure and thrive.
The first step toward that is to defeat the big lie machine known as Trumpism and the enablers in the former Party of Lincoln and elsewhere (like confederates in Russia) that fuel it.

These people are almost as stupid and gullible as those who believed a sitting US president was a Russian agent. Serious, what kind of backward, brain dead, Neanderthal would believe the President of the USA is working for the Russians.
The former POTUS stood on a stage in Helsinki and defended Putin over his own intelligence services. He said Putin did not support his campaign, and then Putin said he did order his people to support Trump’s campaign at that same meeting.
That was embarrassing for America.
The 2020 loser signed papers to build one of his Towers in Moscow while he was running for POTUS, and lied and said he had no business in Russia.
His family and campaign regularly met with Russia agents during and after the campaign.
There are no transcripts of the 2020 loser’s meeting’s with Putin, because he took the notes from the people there. Those are historic documents, why did he hide them?
In 2008, his son said their Organization was being funded with Russian money.
The week after he won, he invited Russia’s top spy into the White House, where he told him top secret information.

[R]eporter Craig Unger got a former KGB spy to confirm on the record that Russian intelligence had been working Trump for decades. In his new book, “American Kompromat,” Unger interviewed Yuri Shvets, who told him that the KGB manipulated Trump with simple flattery. “In terms of his personality, the guy is not a complicated cookie,” he said, “his most important characteristics being low intellect coupled with hyperinflated vanity. This makes him a dream for an experienced recruiter.”
Shvets told Unger that the KGB cultivated Trump as an American leader, and persuaded him to run his ad attacking American alliances. “The ad was assessed by the active measures directorate as one of the most successful KGB operations at that time,” he said, “It was a big thing — to have three major American newspapers publish KGB soundbites.”
This is what intelligence experts mean when they describe Trump as a Russian “asset.” It’s not the same as being an agent. An asset is somebody who can be manipulated, as opposed to somebody who is consciously and secretly working on your behalf.

I can testify about the GQP base believing crazy shit.
I spent Sunday with some family who are big fans of the 2020 loser.
At one point they were mocking the vaccines, saying they only last six months (not true), and at the same time claiming the pandemic is a hoax.
If there truly are vaccines that protect people from hoaxes, I’d mix it in their drinks.

Have you seen any actual estimates of the number (not the percent) of Republicans who hold these silly positions? It could be the number is actually constant or even shrinking but the percent goes up because the denominator (the total number of Republicans) is shrinking rapidly.
