The story about Imagine School Prep, Superstition, continues to develop

by David Safier

The comments keep pouring in on my two earlier posts about the firings at Imagine Prep at Superstition in Apache Junction. Many people are very concerned about what happened at the school. You can read the posts and people's comments here and here. I have received even more information from emails sent to me by others who did not want to comment on the blog.

Please feel free to email me at safier@schooltales.net if you have thoughts or information you would like to share. I keep all correspondence confidential.

The two most recent comments on the Much more on the Arizona Imagine School firings post are especially disturbing, if true. A parent of a student at the school writes about the principal, Frank Stirpe, "manhandling a child (a child of an employee) which my daughter claims happened." In reply to that comment, a student wrote, "I actually witnessed that happening too, so she is definitely not the only one." As a former teacher, I know how serious these allegations are. I have no way of knowing what, if anything, occurred, but rough physical treatment of a student by a teacher or administrator is not permissable, and it must not be brushed aside.
