It’s hard to understand the recent Covid misinformation from Republican politicians and anti-vaxxers on social media. Why would anyone believe any of it when their own lives and their children’s lives are at stake?
Even Fox News pundits Sean Hannity and Steve Doocey support getting a Covid shot. Fox also has a vaccine public service announcement that encourages vaccination. In addition, the CEO of right-wing Newsmax got the vaccine and promoted it.

Yet on July 9, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster tried to block door-to-door efforts to encourage. This brought a rapid response from the White House that “the failure to provide accurate public health information, including the efficacy of vaccines and the accessibility of them to people across the country is killing people.”
When Arizona Governor Ducey said that a school’s quarantine policy should be scrapped, it didn’t take long for two school districts to respond, telling the Governor he is “legally off base in demanding they scrap their quarantine policies.” The schools said they are within their legal rights to keep unvaccinated students exposed to confirmed cases of COVID-19 out of school for up to two weeks.
What Gov. Ducey and most Republican lawmakers want to forget is that Arizona school immunization law requires proof of immunizations before entry to childcare and school.
Parental rights
The school districts’ lawyers also rejected suggestions that their policies run afoul of the Parents’ Bill of Rights provision of Arizona law. It declares that parents have a “fundamental right” to direct their children’s upbringing, education, health care, and mental health. It bars any governmental entity from infringing on those rights without demonstrating a compelling governmental interest.
“While parents in Arizona are empowered to decide whether and when their children attend public school, they are not permitted to decide which of the school’s otherwise lawful healthy and safety policies their children will follow once the decision to attend public school has been made,” the attorneys said.
Even the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said employers can legally require COVID-19 vaccination for employees to re-enter the workplace and can provide incentives for employees to get a shot. However, companies are still required to provide reasonable accommodations for employees who are exempt from mandatory immunization based on the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and other federal laws.
Employees who don’t get vaccinated due to a disability, religious belief, or other reasons may be entitled to a reasonable accommodation. This could mean requiring a facemask, physical distancing, modified shifts, telework arrangements, or work reassignment.
Because drug testing for any new employee is common now, why not proof of a Covid shot?
Any employee who is eligible for the shot and refuses to get the Covid shot would be putting their job in jeopardy. This ruling by the EEOC should make any employee think twice about not getting the shot.
- Will they qualify for unemployment, or will their company fight their claim?
- Having left their job, they will lose their health insurance and will have to pay for COBRA.
- Will they lose out on any pension their company has been paying for 401(k’s), profit sharing if any, and self-directed IRAs?
- Will they be able to get a new job with another employer who will ask for proof of vaccination?
People rejecting a Covid shot should be made to understand that they should put their money where their mouth is. When contacting Covid, they should agree to pay for all their hospital bills out of their pocket. Let’s see then how many will still refuse to get the shot.

If that’s the case then smokers, drinkers, drug addicts, people at fault for accidents, etc should have to pay for their own treatments.

Based on some of the replies here, and from what I hear from family and friends who will not get their shots, I have a plan.
I will attend the next T4ump rally, hold up my Zippo lighter, spin the wheel and light the flame, and announce loudly:
“Tom has made fire!”
At that point it’s clear these science denying people will drop to their knees and worship me as a god.
All the childhood vaccinations are ineffective for the most part. The flu shot is a vaccine.
This is cell therapy – the same type of therapy given to thyroid patients through a daily regimen pill. It makes your cells generate the right T-Cell balance.
It takes many times and adjustments all through your life to keep that balance.
How does this cell therapy work? What if it is too strong (therefore side effects, covid, death) or too weak to properly protect you?
So if people who don’t get the shot contract the COVID virus they have to pay out of pocket for their hospital expenses? Really…so if people who have received the COVID vaccine contract COVID after they have received the shot, do these people have to pay their own expenses also?….
