Tucson Candlelight Vigil for George Floyd – updated

 

Carolyn’s note: Black American George Floyd was allegedly killed by a Minneapolis, MN police officer, while in police custody and handcuffed on the ground on Monday, May 25. Protests/rallies/marches have been held all over the nation (and world) in outrage over this action, and in memory of George Floyd, age 46. The officer in question Derek Chavrin has been arrested and charged with 3rd degree murder and 2 degree manslaughter. 3 other police officers were watching the incident and have not been charged to date.

Update: AZ Gov. Ducey has ordered 8 pm curfew all week. NEW Time for vigil is 6 to 7:45 p.m.
