Carolyn’s note: It’s been almost a year since this pandemic began, and there have been very few art events/receptions.  Here’s a festival for Valentine’s Day in Tucson, at a gallery we am not familiar with. And I don’t know any of these artists, so it will  be a new community venue and new art.

  1. I truly enjoyed the artists and their works. It was an awesome show with lots of amazing art, crafts, jewelry by Sparkle Sparrow – Jenny Suhm. I love the plaque shadow box she custom made for me, Chris Bishop and her mixed media hearts and wall plaques. , I love all of her art. She has some beautiful pieces, all handmade, I have several of her handmade hearts. Red heart woman art- Angela Flanagan is an amazing budding artist, but you would never know it by her work . I purchased a couple of her cards, copies of the beautiful art. Jan and Tina with their Nature photography catching the true beauty for nature and their animal photography. They have wall art and mugs available. I got a mug and love it. Also there was a gentleman playing his guitar for us. It was a safe outside social distanced event. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. Hope to go to their next one too.

  2. Not too late today till 4 p.m. to check out this art festival, downtown Tucson. Take Stone Ave. south, then right (west) on W. 17th St. Lots of interesting and colorful art to view and select from, if you so choose. Outdoor venue, vendors all wearing masks. Happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow. And yes, it was all a new venue and artisans.
