Recently I found a website from the Center for Disease Control which is tracking COVID-19 stats online, state by state, even by county.
Arizona isn’t doing so well compared to other states with only a 63.8% fully vaxed rate, compared to Hawaii (my home state) at 82.1%, or Washington (where our son lives) at 75.9% or even little Vermont at 84%. These stats increase daily as more people over age 5 years get vaxed.
COVID-19 Integrated County View
“Maps, charts, and data provided by CDC, updates daily by 8 pm ET†
This site provides an integrated, county view of key data for monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. It allows for the exploration of standardized data across the country.§ The footnotes describe each data source and the methods used for calculating the metrics. For the most complete and up-to-date data for any particular county or state, visit the relevant health department website. Additional data and features are forthcoming.”

Today’s info says the level of transmission here in Pima County is “high” (bright red). But fully vaxed rate in Pima County is 71.2% higher than the state figure. But have we reached herd immunity? Probably not since # of new cases are still quite high.
Stay safe out there as we continue to monitor the covid pandemic across the nation. This pandemic has claimed 946,000 people in the U.S. to date, with 27,751 here in Arizona (five of whom I knew). And wear your mask indoors, especially in venues where unvaxed people remove their masks to eat or drink.
