Let the People Decide
Gavin Guerra, USA, 2019, 108 min
It is said that when you mess with the right to vote, you mess with the heart of our democracy. Tracing the voting rights movement from the early 1960’s to the present, civil rights supporters and opponents describe their struggles and explain their arguments. While appearing to reflect unique southern historical conditions, denial of the right to vote has played and continues to play a significant role in political and national power struggles.
