When in Oklahoma . . .

by David Safier
Apropos of nothing, I couldn't resist this.

The old Ten Commandments at The Capitol fight is raging in Oklahoma City. And some legislators asked, if we put up the Commandments, which version would we use? After all, the wording is different in different translations.

Looks like we have a winner. Republican Senator Randy Brogdon said:

"Probably an Oklahoma version, I imagine. Something that would suit us."

That should settle it, don't you think? But wouldn't you know it, some people simply can't leave well enough alone.

One senator suggested the Ten Commandments would then read "You-all shall not kill." Another said it would be "y'all shall not kill."
