All January 6 Domestic Terrorists that were charged after storming the Nation’s Capitol to advance Donald Trump’s attempted coup to stay in power- pardoned in one of the American Duce’s first acts after returning to office.
Trevor Milton, the founder of electric vehicle company Nikola, was recently pardoned by Mr. Trump after donating close to two million dollars to his re-election campaign. Milton was convicted of fraud and bilking investors.
A Married Couple who had been residing in the United States for 35 years was detained and deported to Columbia after attending their regular appointment with Immigration and Customs.
One Maryland Man was sent to an El Salvadorian prison due to an administrative error when Trump and his incompetent MAGA team defied a judge’s order to not fly over 300 people, many of whom had no criminal records.
The Musk/Trump/Vance Central Committees’ response: Sorry, but we can not bring him back.
Unfortunately, there are probably more examples of that Maryland Man languishing in El Salvadorian prisons, mostly because they were wearing tatoos.
Another one of the people were sent to El Salvador because he was wearing a tattoo honoring his parents.
They have great investigators at Homeland Security. Not!
Then there is the Tufts Doctorate Student, Rumeysa Ozturk, who, like several others, was arrested off the street by Trump’s Immigrant Getaspho, I.C.E., and detained in Lousiana for possible deportation with no criminal charges.
Her offense. Co-writing an op-ed critical of Israel’s conduct in Gaza.
In MAGA world, apparently, Freedom of the Press is a bad thing.
Reacting to what has happened to Ozturk, Arizona Representative Yassamin Ansari posted:
While MAGA Fascists let Domestic Terrorists and Criminal Political Supporters Go, they deport apparently innocent People without Due Process.
That is a dangerous, slippery slope.
Justice should be equal for everyone.
Due Process should be equal for everyone.
Punishment, if warranted, should be equal for everyone.
If a person is found to have committed heinous crimes, they should be imprisoned or deported. No one should have a problem with that if all aspects of due process were followed.
If a person is accused of crime, they should receive due process to ascertain their innocence or guilt.
The January 6 Domestic Terrorists were afforded due process, and many of them were rightly incarcerated for their attack on Congress.
Trump, because these people worshipped him, called them hostages and pardoned them in one of his first acts on his return to office.
In contrast, people who are in this country legally, are following the rules set forth by the government, and have no apparent criminal records are being deported without any due process.
This is very dangerous, and the courts and the Attorney Generals across the country that are fighting Trump and MAGA’s illegal attempts to dismantle as many federal programs as possible need to step up here and fight for the rights of these innocent victims of Trump’s xenophobia.
