Who’s running for Pima County offices in General Election 2024 (updated)

Now that the AZ Primary results are certified, here’s the list of candidates for Pima County for the November 5, 2024 General Election:

Assessor: Suzanne Droubie (D) incumbent, unopposed

Attorney: Laura Conover (D), incumbent, vs. Green candidate Howard Druan (G)

Recorder: Gabriella Cazares-Kelly (D) incumbent, vs. Dominic Campbell-Gonzalez (R)

School Superintendent: Dustin Williams (D), incumbent, unopposed

Sheriff: Chris Nanos (D) incumbent, vs. Heather Lappin (R)

Treasurer: Chris Ackerley (R) incumbent, vs. Brian Johnson (D), former candidate for Pima County Assessor in August primary 2020

District 1 Supervisor: Rex Scott (D) incumbent, vs. Steve Spain (R), in a rematch from Nov. 2020

District 2 Supervisor: Dr Matt Heinz (D) incumbent, vs. John Backer (R), former candidate for District 4 Supervisor in 2016 and 2020

District 3 Supervisor (open seat): Jennifer Allen (D) vs. Janet Wittenbraker (R), former candidate for Mayor of Tucson in Nov. 2023, vs. Iman-Utopia Layjou Bah (I)

District 4 Supervisor: Steve Christy (R) incumbent, vs. Vanessa Bechtol (D)

District 5 Supervisor: Adelita Grijalva (D) incumbent, vs. Val Romero (I), current TUSD Governing Bd. member & former candidate for Ward 6 Council in Nov. 2021
