Whenever Democrats were nay sayers about anything American during the Bush years, it showed we hated our country. The Iraq War is a disaster. We're losing our standing in the world. Bush's U.S. is moving in the wrong direction. Bush's tax cuts are raising the government's debt. Hate America. Hate America. Hate America. Hate America.
A December Gallup poll asked people their outlook for the United States over the next 20 years. The respondents were generally optimistic rather than pessimistic by a 63% to 34% margin.
But the Republicans were only optimistic by a 50-48 margin, while the Democrats had a huge 77-19 split.
It looks like Republicans don't think America is a great nation. I guess they don't have faith in the American people. Who knows, they may even think we're losing the War on Terror.
