You will be given a provisional ballot which will be counted after verification that no vote-by-mail ballot has been received from you. But if you still have your vote-by-mail ballot, please complete your ballot and drop it off at ANY polling location. Early vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the close of the polls at 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

* Someone other than you may turn in your vote-by-mail ballot. If someone offers to turn in your ballot, it is perfectly legal in Arizona.

* If you need a ride to the polls, one of our volunteers can take you. Please call the Pima County Democratic Party HQ at (520) 326-3716 if you want a ride to the polls, or if you want us to pick up your vote-by-mail ballot.

* By state law, you are entitled to up to 3 hours paid time off to go vote. Please make the appropriate arrangements with your employer to take the time off to vote.

* If you are an Election Day voter, be sure to go to your designated polling place. If you go to the wrong polling place, you will not be able to vote.  You should be redirected by poll workers to your correct polling location. Remember, your polling place is designated by the address of your voter registration, not necessarily where you reside.

* If you are unsure about your designated polling place, you can check the location online at the Pima County Recorders office Polling Location or call the Pima County Democratic Party at (520) 326-3716.

* You can carry your voter education guide or any other printed materials you need to help you make your choice while in the polling location.

* You are allowed to wear any campaign materials into the polling place.

* If you are given a provisional ballot, please check back with the Recorder’s Office in a few days to verify that your ballot has been counted. You can also verify the status of you provisional  ballot online at the Pima County Recorder’s Office. Provisional Status.

* Polls are open from 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4. If there are voters standing in line at 7:00 PM, the polls must remain open until the last person at the end of line at 7:00 PM has had the opportunity to vote.

If you encounter any difficulties with voting at the polls, you can call the VOTER INFORMATION HOTLINE: 1-844-VOTE4AZ (1-844-868-3429) to report your situation and to receive advice.

    • Carolyn, the primary breakdown is meaningless. The GOP had contested primaries and the Democrats did not, which naturally means GOP voter turnout was higher. Primary turnout is never indicative of general election turnout because they are two distinct electorates.
