Wow, we just watched a bunch of guys do speed climbing up some aleppos, rescue (of a dummy way up on a tree), tree climbing obstacle course (from limb to limb, touching a flag or a bell, then rappelling down to the ground). Lots of enviro friendly and tree knowledge booths at this fest, including Tucson Audubon Society, Saguaro National Park, Reid Park Zoo, Native Trees of Tucson, Iskashitaa, etc. If you locate and learn about 6 trees, you get to pick a free plant to take home. What a deal, all till 1 p.m. today at the pond area of Reid Park (south side, off E. 22nd St.)
