A comment to the commenters

Love you commenters, on both sides of the issues. Lots of ideas and facts and genuine emotion, with a minimum of ranting and raving ("sound and fury signifying nothing," as Macbeth put it). I sometimes restrain myself from joining the discussions, because I would rather read what you have to say. I don't learn from my comments. I do from yours.

[UPDATE: I forgot to add "witty" to the list of good things about the comments. I kind of hate it when someone says something that's cleverer than what I said, but I leave it up anyway. Sometimes jealousy is the sincerest form of flattery.]

I read every comment. Keep 'em coming, folks. Others, feel free to join in. I think it's the best part of the blog.
