As founder and editor of BlogForArizona, I hope that I have earned some influence based on my years of experience in politics and campaigns. To the extent that some of you might trust my judgment on these matters, I sometimes make suggestions about where to put your hard-earned dollars to influence outcomes in Arizona politics.
I make this suggestion unreservedly: Loren’s cause is both the right one, and an extremely cost-effective and strategically useful one. I got this via email today (maybe you did, too?) and I think this is an excellent initiative. Our Native voters have made the key difference in many close elections in Arizona – investing in expanding opportunities for Native voters is a central strategic priority for the Party in 2024. This money will win key elections for Democrats with absolute certainty.
I put some of my own money into this drive to raise $10K for this purpose, and I suggest you should, too!

Hey there, Michael — I wanted to personally reach out to you today. November is Native American Heritage Month, when we celebrate the richness and the diversity of Native cultures across Arizona and the U.S. By empowering Native communities and mobilizing our matriarchs as well as the next generation of Native voters, we can protect our democracy and make sure that we keep Native voters engaged and informed. We need to expand our strategy across Northeast Arizona. Will you help us raise $10,000 this Giving Tuesday to support our organizing efforts by pitching in $15 right now? If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: CHIP IN $15 NOW CHIP IN $30 NOW CHIP IN $50 NOW CHIP IN $100 NOW CHIP IN $250 NOW ANOTHER AMOUNT We’ve expanded our programs all year to reach across generations and get more people involved within the community. I’m especially proud of our Youth Votes Ambassadors Program, which we launched this year to train young voters in relational organizing tactics that help folks connect with their friends and family members and help them prepare for the 2024 election. As partners, Northeast Arizona Native Democrats and the Arizona Democratic Party are committed to working together to get out the vote on sovereign lands. The NEAZ direct voter contact program has generated over 130,000 vote contacts. Phone calls are a vital part of our job, Michael — from relaying information about candidates on the ballot to helping voters check their registration status. Having the resources that are readily available to the community is a vital part of the work we’re doing. So what do you say? — Can you pitch in today and help us raise $10,000? DONATE Thank you!
