Aboud / Downing Debate Next Monday

Southern Arizona Stonewall Democrats will host a debate between State Senate Democratic primary opponents is the controversial LD 28 race.

From the Press Release:

Monday night we will have our monthly meeting at Colors on Speedway starting at 6:30.

Appetizers will be served and there will be a cash bar.

In addition to our regular agenda, SASD will host a short debate between Paula Aboud and Ted Downing regarding the recent mailer. Since this will be a "short" 20 minute debate, we ask you please be on time. Please read the following to familiarize yourself with the process and ground rules.

Regular meeting starts at 6:30

Debate starts at 7:30 PM

20 minute debate (topic is the recent mailer)

1) Paula 4 minutes on her "recent mailer".
2) Ted 4 minutes on his response to "recent mailer"
3) Paula 2 minutes rebuttal.
4) Ted 2 minutes response.
5) 8 minutes total for Q/A from audience. QUESTIONS only, not statements of
opinion.

Questions can be directed to either or both candidates. 1 minute response.

If the question is only directed to one, the other has the option to make a 1 minute max comment after the answer (i.e. equal time).

Both candidates promptly leave and we conduct business.
