ADLCC Blasts Wadsack’s Imbecilic 9/11 Comments

Last week, it was reported by AZ Mirror and Blog for Arizona that Arizona Legislative District (LD) 17 State Senator Justine Wadsack appeared to embrace disproven and outlandish conspiracy theories associated with the tragedies that occurred in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.

Among the posts Wadsack made herself or liked were:

I made the decision NOT to trust my government THAT day! It never added up. Still doesn't, and now look at the state of thing.

One thing is for certain, I miss how Americans came together after 9/11. Flags on cars, unity, and a patriotic spirit on both sides of the isle.

Now a case has been made that the then Bush/Cheney Administration, through sheer ignorance of the problem of Al-Queda terrorism, dropped the ball when it came to responding to the intelligence before the attack and how their reaction, specifically stopping the chase for Bin Laden to foolishly focus on Iraq (a nation whose leaders had nothing to do with 9/11) proved detrimental to United States interests.

That is not the same thing as saying they planned to let 9/11 happen and colluded with other bad actors to ensure it did.

Ashton Adams, a Communications Spokesperson for the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (ADLCC,) responded to Wadsack’s posts, commenting:

“Senator Wadsack’s conspiracy theories regarding 9/11 are downright shameful. This is not the first time Senator Wadsack has pushed conspiracy theories about American tragedies. She claimed the Uvalde shooting was a “false flag” event. Our voters deserve honesty from their elected officials, and Senator Wadsack is clearly pushing harmful lies.”

Ms. Adams is right. Ms. Wadsack’s statement supporting 9/11 conspiracy theories is “shameful.”

Another sad thing stemming from Wadsack and her 9/11 and other outrageous statements is that the Arizona Republican Party has selected Wadsack as their Freshman Senator of the Year.

What a sad commentary on our times that this incarnation of the Republican Party is so much in the clutches of the MAGA Crowd that not many of them are feeling buyer’s remorse.

Voters in LD 17 should ask themselves if they want a person who embraces baseless conspiracy theories leading them.
