Announcement from the Arizona AFL-CIO:

Screenshot-8 On Saturday, October 15, please join us and our community ally MoveOn.org as we call for "Jobs, Not Cuts." The event will take place at Cesar Chavez Plaza, 201 W. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85003 beginning at 10:00am.

As we did when we rallied at the state capitol in March, Arizona working families will call out for: good jobs, protect vital social service programs, and an end to the attacks on the middle class by right-wing politicians and their corporate backers.

Occupy%20phoenix%20logo Following the "Jobs not Cuts" rally, working people, their friends and families will be turning out for #OccupyPhoenix, a growing grassroots protest movement that began on Wall Street and is spreading across the country.

The Arizona AFL-CIO supports the #OccupyPhoenix protesters and their determination to hold Wall Street accountable and create good jobs. We encourage everyone to attend.

For far too long the people who do the work to keep our great country running have been robbed not only of income, but of a voice.  It is time for all of us—the 99 percent—to be heard.
