The pre-debate ads are coming out in full force.
After releasing “Ready to Rumble” yesterday, the Lincoln Project takes up the theme of 34 times Convicted, Twice Impeached, and Traitor Donald Trump’s appearance on the Presidential Debate stage this evening with the new comedic ad “Convict on Stage.”
The ad initially seems to question President Joe Biden’s judgment in debating Mr. ‘Two-time popular vote loser’ with the narrator starting his presentation by saying:
“Joe Biden says he cares about law and order. He says he believes in our institutions, our safety, and the rule of law.”
“So why is Joe Biden publicly appearing on stage with a convicted felon?”
“Donald Trump was just convicted on 34 felony counts for cooking the books to cover up hush money payments to a porn star. Does that sound like law and order to you? President Biden knows Trump was impeached twice. He incited a violent insurrection, tried to steal an election, and took classified documents. He even cheats at golf.”
“If Joe Biden can’t keep criminals off his own debate stage, how is he going to do it for America?”
The narrator then turns the joke full circle, closing with:
“Say what you will about Trump, but you won’t catch him debating a washed-up and disgraced felon who probably free bases bleach.”
“So on June 27, remember, only one candidate is debating a real President.”
And that candidate is not, in this case, the real President-Joe Biden.
