While it was probably a treat to Donald Trump’s MAGA faithful that he attended the Super Bowl and Daytona 500, where Air Force One did a fly around the venue and the Presidential limousine took a spin around the track, what should not be lost on observers is, during a time where the Musk/Trump/Vance team is highlighting how many Biden/Harris, Democratic, and Non-MAGA Republican funding policies are examples of waste, fraud, and abuse, how many hard-earned taxpayer dollars were wasted for the Felon in Chief’s joy rides.
It is estimated that Trump’s attendance at the Super Bowl, the first for a sitting United States President, cost the American taxpayer $20,000,000.
It was reported that Mr. Trump’s trip to the Daytona 500 cost $5,000,000 which included:
“Air Force One Costs: estimated $800,000 – $1,000,000. Presidential Motorcade & Transport: estimated $200,000 – $500,000, Secret Service & Security estimated $1 million – $2 million., FAA & Airspace Restrictions: estimated $100,000 – $300,000, Staffing & Logistical Support: estimated $200,000 – $500,000, Additional Emergency & Military Resources: estimated $100,000 – $500,000.
As the people behind Republicans Against Trump said in a later post, “Where’s DOGE?”
Trump was so overjoyed about his trip to the race track that he forgot all about the people in Kentucky who fell victim to deadly flooding over the weekend.
Even if these numbers are off by half, just think of how many hungry children could have been fed with the millions Mr. Trump wasted on his base appeasing vanity pit stops.
Like the pardoning of 1500 criminals who assaulted the Capitol on January 6, 2021, lost them all credibility on law and order, Musk/Trump/Vance now have no room to discuss waste, fraud, and abuse. All the felon-in-chief has to do is look in a mirror to find out why.
