Apparently Mr. Trump does not intend to fill his government with the best and brightest.

Wanting loyalty to him above all else including competence and love of country, the American Duce appears to have scored another victory against the American Ideal by pressuring Republican Senate Leader Aspirants John Thune, John Cornyn, and Rick Scott to abandon the Senates role in advise and consent to Presidential Nominees by scheduling recesses so Mr. Dictator on Day One can appoint MAGA loyalists to government posts without having to undergo the confirmation process.
In a social media post, he wrote:
“Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner.”
He also wants the still Republican Minority to block President Joe Biden’s last judicial nominations, ignoring the fact that lame duck Republicans confirmed his last court picks before leaving the majority in 2021.
With a likely 53 to 47 Senate Majority coming in January, Mr. Trump must have some really undesirable candidates in mind for the Executive Branch that he feels could not even win in a Republican controlled chamber.
Congressional Republicans are again showing their spinelessness by bowing to the person who sicked the mob on them on January 6, 2021.
This is another shot at Democracy and the American Republic.
We have seen this happen before.
In 1920’s Italy.
In 1930’s Germany.
Republicans have again shown that they are putting MAGA and the American Duce over the country.
What will come next in the MAGA drive to dismantle the American Ideal?

I did not criticize Hobbs because your colleagues put new barriers on the confirmation process that did not exist before and wanted to be obstructionist for the sake of being obstructionist.

Dems across the country have done similar things from time to time. Just a few years ago, all the Dems in Texas holed up in some hotel to prevent R’s from getting a vote on some trash bill and we all cheered.
I have no problem with this, because elections have consequences, and as crazy as we all think it is, America voted for the convicted rapist and felon.
But progressive policies won, even in Red states! Women’s rights won in AZ! That’s huge! LaKKKe lost.
And now that more votes have been counted, it’s clear there was no “mandate”.
This was not the bigly win MAGA thinks it is or the press makes it out to be.
So it wasn’t progressive policies that lost, most Dems ran center. It wasn’t “wokeness” like I’m hearing, that’s revisionary bullshit and a MAGA talking point (aka lie).
Kamala bragged about her Glock. Most Dems ran on closing the border.
Running Biden didn’t help, but incumbents around the world all lost in the last round of elections, not just here in the USofA, and they all have one thing in common.
INFLATION.
Don-old’s promises are all massively inflationary and guaranteed to spike the national debt and his ego won’t let him back down.
The GOP won both houses of Congress, the White House, and SCOTUS is fully owned.
Starting in a few weeks they own EVERYTHING, and ALL the expensive lessons MAGA is about to learn are on them.
Fight for democracy, but keep reminding everyone who’s driving the bus and history will correct course.
Oh, yeah, and kick the corporate dems to the curb, and then kick them some more.
