While recent events involving the war against Iran’s nuclear capability may have taken a favorable turn with an on, off, and on again Cease Fire between Israel and Iran, the Democrats running to take seats in the House of Representatives in 2025 and 2027 have voiced their views on Donald Trump’s decision to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities on Saturday, June 21, 2025 without appropriate Congressional consultation.
Arizona House Congressional District (CD)Seven Candidate Deja Foxx wrote on social media:
“We should not be dragged into another endless war by a reality TV president. We need peace and aid for Gaza, and help for families here at home who are struggling with the cost of housing, food, and health care.”
Fellow CD Seven Adelita Grijalva offered:
“The United States Congress has the sole authority to declare war; Trump’s unilateral actions are unconstitutional. Instead of entangling us in another endless conflict in the Middle East, we should be focused on the crises happening at home; rising costs, unaffordable healthcare, and a President that is ripping families apart with illegal ICE raids.”
