Andrew and I had an in-depth talk with Pima Co. Supervisor Matt Heinz about the serious concerns about the actions of Sheriff Nanos administration of the Pima County Sheriff’s department. From improper interference with his own election, unusual and problematic handling of the rape of a PCSO Deputy by her own supervising Deputy Sergeant, problems with undisclosed disciplinary issues in Nanos’ own past, evasiveness and obsfucation by Nanos regarding his Deputy’s contacts with federal immigration agents, and constant 6 and 7 figure budget overruns, the Pima Board has serious issues with Nanos.
