Embarrassed by the July Employment numbers that showed only 73,000 jobs created, unemployment ticking up to 4.2 percent, an d the number of new positions in May and June revised downward, Liar in Chief Donald Trump decided to ‘shoot the messenger’ sort to speak by firing Dr. Erika McEntarfer, the director of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, claiming she rigged the numbers because she was a Biden appointee who wanted to make him look bad.
Suppose in MAGA world being linked to a pedophile, being convicted of 34 felonies, impeached twice, being endorsed by David Duke of the KKK twice, bankrupting a casino, and enabling a domestic terrorist attack on January 6, 2021 is not enough to make Mr. Trump look bad.
In a mentally unhinged post, Trump unleashed his fury and warped sense of reality on Dr. McEntarfer, posting:

The Liar in Chief continued his tirade on an interview with MAGA friendly Newsmax.
Trump’s war on reality continues and do not be surprised if numbers coming from his economic departments are more reminiscent of Baghdad Bob making inflated growth pronouncements that are long on fantasy and short on facts.
Reaction to Mr. Trump’s latest war on the truth has been swift.
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer posted this yesterday:
Arizona Representative Yassamin Ansari simply wrote that Trump’s actions reflected the simple truth that “This is an authoritarian regime.”
Representative Greg Stanton offered in two posts:
“Today’s jobs report—including the massive downward revisions from the previous two months—is a flashing red warning sign for the U.S. economy. Trump’s chaotic trade war is hammering American workers and businesses. Congress can’t stay on the sidelines any longer. It’s past time to pass my bill to reclaim our Constitutional authority over trade policy.”
“Instead of course correcting after a completely disappointing jobs report, Trump fires the nonpolitical statistician. Fudging the numbers won’t change what Arizonans are experiencing: higher prices and fewer jobs.”
Senator Ruben Gallego posted:
“This isn’t just unhinged, it’s dangerous. Undermining public data because it doesn’t fit his narrative is what authoritarian strongmen do. This isn’t strength. It’s paranoia.”
In his post, Senator Mark Kelly equated Mr. Trump to an immature child/spoiled brat, stating:
“Hey folks, I just saw that Donald Trump fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is like when you get a bad grade on your homework and you run home to your mom and you say, Mom, You got to get that teacher fired. This is just data, And it’s, uh, it’s important that the American people know what’s going on with the economy President shouldn’t be firing the person because He didn’t like the answer.”
Senator Schumer is right. All Donald Trump has to do is look in the mirror and the MAGA blind loyalists staffing his Administration and Congress to see who is responsible for this economic and jobs downturn.
Representative Stanton is right when he states “Fudging the numbers won’t change what Arizonans are experiencing: higher prices and fewer jobs.”
Senator Kelly is right when he contends Trump is acting like a spoiled brat who wants to get his way.
Representative Ansari and Senator Gallego are right when they convey that what Trump and his Fascist minions are doing is yet another “unhinged and dangerous” example of setting up an authoritarian regime in the United States.
The American People should not fall for this latest attempt to make the United States a real life version of George Orwell’s 1984 and a third rate banana republic where truth is what the Liar in Chief says it is.
