Time is running out to collect 119,000 qualifying petition signatures on six 2022 ballot initiatives each to stop Republican efforts to gut Invest in Ed, and the suppression of voting rights.
There is also a seventh ballot initiative designed to stop the continuing influence of Dark Money in Arizona politics.
To that end, Stop Dark Money, Arizona Deserves Better, and Invest in Arizona will launch a weekend telethon from 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, to 4:00 p.m. on September 22.

The goal of the event will be to bring everyone on board for one final push to collect the 119,000 qualifying signatures per ballot initiative to protect Democracy and public education that the Republicans at the Arizona State Legislature voted to take away through the passage of SB1783, SB1827, SB1828, SB1485, HB2569, and SB1819.
Remember the goal is to get the qualifying signatures for all seven ballots.
Democracy can not exist without public campaign disclosure laws, public education, and voting rights.
Special guests will include former State Senator and current Congressional Candidate Kirsten Engel, Former Maricopa County Recorder and Secretary of State Candidate Adrian Fontes, Legislative District 18 State Representative, and State Senate Candidate Mitzi Epstein, former Arizona Attorney General and Stop Dark Money spearheadTerry Goddard, and others.

WHY: Statutory deadline is Sept. 28. Citizen-led efforts to gather enough signatures over 24 hours to put SEVEN referenda/initiatives on the 2022 ballot to:
Stop anonymized political contributions to fund political campaigns.
Overturn three bills that were rammed through the last session to undercut public education (SB1827, SB1828, SB1783). Referring all 3 bills to the voters and passing them will restore funding to public education and other state infrastructure.
Overturn three voter suppression bills passed in the last session to make it harder for Arizonans to vote (SB1485, HB2569, SB1819)
