Arizona International Film Festival on April 10 to 21

“Remaining true to the independent spirit, the AZ Film Festival is a venue for independent filmmakers in search of an independent audiences.

The Festival theme of “Words Matter, Indie Films Matter” provides a way for independent cinema to share images and voices from diverse cultures from around the world with Arizona communities. Since 1990, the Arizona International Film Festival has screened over 2800 films from 95 countries to 160,000 Arizonans of all ages.”

Films will be mostly shown at The Screening Room, 127 E. Congress St. in downtown Tucson.  Free Opening Night party is at The Hotel Congress, 318 E. Congress St. at 6 p.m. The Closing Night party on April 21 is also free, at HighWire Lounge, 14 S. Arizona Avenue, at 9:30 p.m.
