How would you feel if MAGA Republican Legislators somehow secured legislation to allow Trump’s ICE-Gestapo goons to patrol polling locations outside voting rooms on election day?
Well, last week, these same MAGA Republican Legislators in the State Senate attempted, despite a legion of protestors at the Capitol, including those allowed in the building, conveying their vocal opposition, to consider such a move with SB1570.
What stopped the bill from getting voted on and possibly killing it this session was the no show of State Senator Jake ‘Troll Farm-Election Denying-Criminal Record-Walk out on a Moment of Silence for Jesse Jackson-Hoffman, due to illness.
With not enough Republicans to move the legislation in committee despite Chairperson Wendy ‘Covid Vaccines are a sign of the Devil’ Rogers attempt to prolong the meeting long enough for Hoffman to show up, the bill, according to current legislative guidelines, can not move to the floor for a vote in its current form.
Commenting on the apparent death of SB1570, House Democratic Leader Oscar De Los Santos said to Blog for Arizona:
“Thanks to the countless Arizonans who raised their voice, we took on and took down an extreme Republican proposal to install ICE agents at polling places. That bill was an abomination — and together we killed it. Democrats will continue to fight for the people of Arizona by taking on the greedy corporations and lowering costs for hardworking families.”
In a video released that day, State Representatives Anna Abeyita and Brian Garcia, with the sound of bill opponents in the background, blasted the latest MAGA Republican voter suppression-intimidation move, with both commenting that ICE’s job description has nothing to do with patrolling voting locations despite what Rogers, Hoffman, and their master Donald Trump would like people to believe.
They also blasted MAGA-Republican moves to block LUCHA organization members from entering the building and threatening some of them with forcible removal if they entered.
LUCHA helps protect minority voter rights.
After Rogers adjourned the Senate meeting, State Senators Analise Ortiz and Lauren Kuby met with the protestors and organizers who were allowed in the building to attend the committee session.
Afterward, commenting to KJZZ on barring some organizers from the building, Senator Ortiz said:
“There has been an increase in authoritarianism here at the state Legislature, and it’s frustrating because this is the people’s house,”
In the same KJZZ report, Senate Majority Leader John Kavanagh said he did not know why some people were barred from the Senate building, but did say about the protestors who were at the committee meeting and vented their concerns:
“They don’t stop us.”
Who is they Senator?
The people who elect you and the other state legislators as their public servants.
A very scary response from a person whose poltical party name means ‘For the public.”
Hopefully, this measure will not pop up again. If it does surface in 2027, Governor Katie Hobbs will hopefully still be there to veto it.
Or better yet, there will be a Democratic Party-controlled legislature that would not bring up such a piece of crap voter suppression measure again.

This is utter insanity. These MAGA twits can’t even comprehend the concept of what kind of political violence this could lead to? It’s like they’re “inviting it.” Who are these so called Christian Conservatives that push for violence and intimidation. This idea of Christian nationalism has became beyond dangerous, it’s here and in full effect. It’s inhuman, their desperation is charlatan driven rabble. This has to end. The tides must turn or we will all be right back to the late thirties in Nazi Germany in the streets of America in 2026. It’s already been implemented. Those who support this utter fascism must be called out and shunned. You’re not Christians you’re full on Nazis calling for voter rolls. How long before neighbors are shooting neighbors, this is the reality and danger of MAGA. It’s 2026, I refuse to walk backwards and there are plenty of us who will resist and refuse.
