Since when did standing up for American’s freedoms and rights become a partisan thing? Those trolglodites are pissing on the corpse of every patriot who has ever died wearing America’s uniform while defending our freedoms when they attack the work of the ACLU. AZ ACLU is warning Arizonans about the latest MAGA assaults and impedments on our right to vote. This time they want us to do the damage ourselves on the 2026 ballot, and there is nothing Gov. Hobbs can do, as she can’t veto such Referals: “Arizona lawmakers are once again prioritizing measures that could make it harder for you to cast a vote. Their responsibility is to ensure Arizona elections remain fair and accessible, not restrict it. House Concurrent Resolution 2001 and Senate Concurrent Resolution 1001 threaten to disenfranchise eligible voters and undermine our democracy.The two ballot referrals would alter the early voting and mail-in ballot process, limit voting times, and impose stricter ID requirements for Arizona voters. Arizona voters overwhelmingly support early and mail-in voting. HCR 2001 and SCR 1001 would restrict these options by shortening the early voting deadline and create hefty new barriers for mail-in ballots, including an annual address verification requirement. The proposals would require voters to present government-issued identification, which is already state law. But it remains unclear whether the mandate could extend to mail-in voting – disproportionately burdening seniors, rural and tribal communities, and voters with disabilities who rely on mail voting.” -AZ ACLU Newsletter, Jan 20, 2026.
