Arizona's Senate Democratic Caucus has created its own blog, and it has a few video clips of Senate Republicans discussing what to do about school funding.
Senator Jack Harper asks, "The Constitution requires the state to offer first through twelfth grade — kindergarten, no?"
The answer given him was, no. I guess that helps Harper out. Now he has one more option for balancing the budget.
And Senator Sylvia Allen says, "Unless we cut AHCCCS [Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System] to the bone,I don't know how we're going to give more money to education."
I have an idea, Sylvia. See if you can save a little by cutting legislators' health care benefits. Every dollar counts, you know, and I guess health care is just one of those things people should pay for themselves, right?
