Be informed about 3 Democratic candidates for Ward 6 Council seat

Democrats of Greater Tucson just posted an hour/half video of a forum with all 3 Democratic candidates running for the open Ward 6 Council seat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmFaEf13f-M. Partcipating are personal injury attorney Leighton Rockafellow, Jr.; KXCI community radio Operations Mgr. Miranda Schubert; retired science teacher Jim Sinex.

Founder of B4AZ Michael Bryan (also 1st VP of DGT) and DGT board member at large Kalya Bharathan host the forum.

Coming up tomorrow July 1st is the LWVGT forum for the Ward 6 Council seat, at 5 p.m. at the Martha Cooper library, 1377 N. Catalina Avenue in midtown Tucson. This recently renovated library is located north of Speedway Blvd, east of Columbus Avenue.

And next week on July 8, at 5:30 p.m. you can informally meet with these canidates, plus those running for Wards 3 and 5 at an event at the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona, 5049 E. Broadway Blvd. You must pre-register for that event, or you may be denied entrance.

The primary for the City of Tucson Council seats is coming up on August 5, 2025 and early ballots go out on July 9. Vote wisely on or before August 5. The winner of the Democratic primaries in Ward 3 and 6 face Republican opposition in the General Election.
