If a political bombshell goes off in Phoenix, is it news in Tucson? Apparently not at the Arizona Daily Star.
The Star has yet to report on the biggest news story of the week, Andrew Thomas abused the power of his office in witch hunt against political enemies. There is a brief mention in the Political Notebook gossip column in Sunday's newspaper, but no actual reporting.
The Star did report on Saturday, however, an already dated news story, AG candidate Thomas criticizes Tom Horne's decision to hire convict.
As I have said before, story selection and emphasis discloses the editorial bias of the editors. Somebody at the Star likes Andy Thomas, which is cause for concern for their lack of judgment.
Let's be honest, neither one of these corrupt and unethical candidates should have ever been a candidate for public office nor appeared on a ballot eligible to receive votes. They should be disavowed by the Arizona Republican Party in the same way the party disavowed Joe Sweeney in his congressional bid previously. The corruption of these candidates is a taint upon the party.
If either of them had an ounce of decency they would simply withdraw from the race and slither away, never to be heard from again.
In this video clip from Fox 10 News in Phoenix, Beavis and Butt-head try to prove which man is more corrupt and unethical than the other. Let's just call it a tie — you both suck.

Maybe someone at the Arizona Daily Star could, oh I don't know, maybe take the time to review what credible news sources are reporting and finally get around to reporting on Andrew Thomas in the pages of the Star? Anyone? Hello?
