Back when the Wisconsin pro-labor protests were going full swing, a deputy prosecutor from Indiana emailed Gov. Scott Walker and suggested he stage an assault or assassination attempt against himself and blame it on the unions.
He admitted he wrote the email and resigned. But before he did, he first lied and said the email wasn't from him, that it was identity theft, that he would never say such a thing:
"I think he's trying to do what he has to do to get his budget balanced. But jeez, that's taking it a little bit to the extreme."
But he wrote it, and he admitted it, and he's gone. My favorite part of the email is that he signed off by writing, "God bless." Yes, all of us who promote lies and falsehoods to bring down people we don't like, God bless us one and all.
These are the people who claim to hold the moral high ground.
