In a letter in the Trib, the Accidental Guv is adamant:
I did not send a letter to Sen. John McCain urging more stimulus money for Arizona.
Maybe so, maybe no.
But like so many Republican governors who take strong stands against all that dirty Obama Stimulus Money, Brewer is more than happy to hand out those poster sized stim money checks with a "Remember, you got this from me" smile on her face.
The high-tech business incubator at the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park was awarded a $1.5 million state grant from federal stimulus money to expand its programs.
The grant to the Arizona Center for Innovation (AZCI) was announced Wednesday by Gov. Jan Brewer, who handed a giant, ceremonial check to tech park CEO Bruce Wright before a crowd of about 100 people at an announcement event.
Brewer called the center "the engine that will power us into Arizona's second century."
I didn't hear Brewer's speech, but I'm willing to bet it didn't include any thanks to Obama and the Democrats who helped make all that stimulus money possible.
Nope. Stimulus money, bad. Handing out [stim money] checks, good.
