Budget Update: No Budget Vote Until Monday

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

The Arizona Senate has finished for the day and will reconvene on Monday at 9:30 a.m. The House is working through a series of budget resolution bills, but will not address the sales tax ballot measure or the flat tax proposal until Monday. We're going down to the wire on this budget.

The Arizona Guardian reports that the GOP insane clown posse leadership is proceeding with bringing the budget resolution bills to the floor for a vote, even though they do not yet have the votes to pass this compromise budget plan.

There must be a whole lot of arm twisting and horse trading going on behind closed doors. By now Grover Norquist and his minions from hell are also threatening and intimidating their "no new tax" pledge signers with a primary opponent if they break their pledge.
