“C Street” Stupak and Sen. McCain mislead about abortion coverage in HCRA

Long-time member of The Family religious cult, Rep. Bart "C Street" Stupak (D-MI), has been spreading disinformation far and wide about the Health Care Reform Act in an effort to reach well beyond the Hyde Amendment which has barred federal funding for abortions since 1976. "C Street" Stupak wants to ban abortions entirely using the Health Care Reform Act to do it.

Stupak claims to have support from about a dozen anti-abortion Democrats in the House whom he claims are willing to vote against health care reform over their single-minded objection to abortion. (I suspect there is a lot of campaign money from health insurance companies that is the only "principle" they really care about.)

ABC News' "truth squad" fact checked Stupak's claims and debunked his disinformation. From Media Matters:

Wouldn't you know it – Arizona's embarrassment, our own congenital liar Sen. McNasty went on FAUX News to mislead the willfully misinformed using "C Street" Stupak's disinformation about abortion coverage. The man is a shameless liar.
