CCEC decertifies Republican candidate for forging $5 contribution forms

The Arizona Capitol Times' Yellow Sheet reports CCEC believes senate candidate forged $5 forms:

At its May 20 meeting, the CCEC decertified LD7 Republican Senate candidate Robert Green and fined him $20,000. Green, who had hoped to win his race by capitalizing on the anti-incumbent fervor in a race that had two House incumbents vying for a Senate seat, submitted his qualifying contributions in March. Of the 12 that were randomly selected for verification and sent to the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office, two were invalidated. Later that month, all 265 qualifying contributions were sent to the county for verification and 142 were disqualified.

Note: While I am using the Yellow Sheet's characterization of "forged," there are other reasons for disqualifying contributions.
