A Community Mural Project


Safos Dance Theatre is proud to invite the Tucson Community to participate in “Color the Mural!” A Community Mural Project. On Sunday April 6, 2014 at 10am at the House of Neighborly Service 243 W. 33rd St Tucson, AZ 85713. Safos will kick off the community painting part of the “Color the Mural” project.

We invite Tucsonans of all ages to come paint with us at this FREE community arts event! Mural artists Mel Dominguez and Carla Turco will be on hand to lead all painting activities. Painting will take place along 8th Avenue section the House of Neighborly Service campus. This kickoff event marks the first of a handful of free community painting events and arts education residencies associated with the project.
“Color the Mural!” is a two-year collaboration between Safos Dance Theatre and the House of Neighborly Service. The mural will be inaugurated in March 2015 during a site-specific dance theatre performance by Safos Dance Theatre at House of Neighborly Service.
