Community Forum in Support of TUSD Ethnic Studies Program

Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm
El Pueblo Center Senior Building
101 W Irvington Rd, Tucson, AZ 85714

An Open Invitation to the Tucson Community:
Stand Up in Support of Our Children's Educational Rights

On behalf of the TUSD Mexican American Studies Community Advisory Board, we would like to invite the community to attend the upcoming community forum we are hosting in support of ethnic studies. It will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at El Pueblo Center Senior Building.

Here in Tucson, we have created a community that is peaceful and has always been able to have sensible discussions. We must retain that spirit now for the betterment of the students attending TUSD. Please attend this meeting to learn what you and your organization can do to support the students and teachers of the Mexican American Studies Program in their struggle to defend their educational rights. We cannot sit by and allow our children and young adults to be robbed of an opportunity to find success and become our future leaders.

Thank you,
Elizabeth Soltero
