Consider the Source: Individual One calls Debbie Lesko “A Great American”

Arizona Congressional District Eight House Representative Debbie Lesko was called “A Great American” by Donald Trump on a (what else) December 27 tweet.

What earned Lesko this special recognition?

She publicly subscribed to the Trump Zone and Fox Island dogma, in an interview with CNN, that Mr. Trump did not call (despite it being printed for all to see on the White House released summary) for an investigation into political rival Joe Biden in his July 25 phone call with the Ukranian President.

The video clip of that episode is below:

This is a classic example of considering the source.

Only in the Trump Zone and Fox Island world of alternate reality would a “public servant” welcome the praise of someone who has lied over 15,000 times, been endorsed by the Ku Klux Klan, is an unindicted coconspirator known as Individual One, has become only the third President in United States History to have been impeached, and been forced to dissolve his charitable organization because he was using some of the proceeds to benefit himself and his family.

Michael Muscato, a Democratic House Congressional District Eight Candidate competing to run against Lesko, has a different impression of Lesko and the President’s praise.

Writing on Medium, Mr. Muscato stated that:

“Our late Senator John McCain used to be the standard for Arizona Republican elected officials. I didn’t agree with him on everything, but I never questioned his integrity or character. The same “man” who belittled John’s patriotism, now calls my opponent Rep. Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) “A Great American”.

“My opponent:

Voted “No” on Lower Drug Costs Now Act
Voted “No” on the FUTURE Act
Voted “No” on the Voting Rights Advancement Act
Voted “No” on the Border Security and Immigration Reform Act of 2018
Voted “No” on the Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act
Voted “No” on the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act
Voted “No” on the PAST Act
Voted “No” on the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020
Voted “No” on the Equality Act
Voted “No” on the SAFE Act
Voted “No” on the Fair Wage Act
Voted “No” on the American Dream and Promise Act
Voted “No” on the For the People Act
Voted “No” on the Climate Action Now Act”

“To name a few… what about that is great? What about any of the above represents Republican voters? What about any of the above is in the best interests of our healthcare, national security, equality, personal safety, and opportunity to live the American Dream?”

“My opponent continues to call upon the support of the President’s social media and right-wing media outlets to boost her fundraising and popularity within the faction of the GOP who has disregarded loyalty and duty to country.”

“My opponent has not campaigned this hard for any election in nearly 12 years. With all the social media help from POTUS, WhiteHouse, and national media attention her twitter following which her team bragged about recently grew 20k followers. Our campaigns twitter following grew by 27k during that same time without any of the same advantages nor media coverage. AZ08 is in play.”

“We win this election by funding our (Muscato For Congress) campaign. Grassroots funding leads to bigger donors funding us. Big donors want to see lots of little donors first. Her campaign knows this and is using the Presidents 68 million followers to arm her campaign with enough money to buy the 2020 election.”

“The question is, whether or not AZ08 and the rest of Americans who want better representation will put our campaign and others like it around the country on a level playing field. The sad reality is our money holds the same power theirs does. Our campaigns and others around the country need your financial support to compete and win.”

“This election isn’t about me. It’s about us. It’s about the meaning of our voices, our values, and our votes.”

Bob Musselwhite, another Democrat vying to take on Lesko next November commented that:

Arizona Democratic Congressional District Eight Candidate Bob Musselwhite

” I think there are a whole lot of people in Congressional District 8 that do not agree with another general statement delivered on Twitter,  backed up as usual with no facts”

Debbie Lesko does not deserve praise.

She, along with fellow Arizona Trumpists Andy Biggs, Paul Gosar, and David Schweikert deserve contempt for willfully putting party (cult) over the country and the interests of a criminal demagogue over the people in their districts.

Hopefully, the people in Arizona Congressional District Eight will realize that Ms. Lesko is not serving them and will replace her on November 3, 2020, with someone that will.
