Curtis Acosta Keynote Speaker at Northwest Teaching Conference

by David Safier

Tucson's own Curtis Acosta, teacher in the dismantled Mexican American Studies program, will be the keynote speaker at the 6th Annual Northwest Conference on Teaching for Social Justice in Seattle this October.

Curtis resigned from TUSD to pursue other educational interests. If you want to catch up with what he's doing, I interviewed him last month for the public access cable show, "Education: The Rest of the Story."
