Announcement from the Pima Area Labor Federation:

We need to show Arizona’s solidarity with Wisconsin and stand up against the threats we ourselves face.

The Pima Area Labor Federation (PALF) needs you to plan on being with us for the Day of Action on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. We will take a bus from the PALF office at 877 S. Alvernon Way at 7:00 A.M. to Phoenix for a Day of Action at the Arizona Legislature.

You will have an opportunity to tell your legislature that you will be holding him or her accountable for the anti-worker bills – or thanking them for their support of working families – as the case may be. Make sure your local union is heard at the Arizona legislature!

Laura needs your RSVPs from your local as soon as possible on whether or not you are riding the bus. The deadline is Friday (Thursday, if possible) for reservation of the bus(s). Please call the PALF office at (520) 388-4139.

We are all Wisconsin. We are all Americans.

UPDATE: From People for the American Way:

This Saturday, February 26, will be a NATIONAL day of rallies to stand up for the American Dream.

There will be a Rally at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix at Noon on Saturday February 26th to show support for the hundreds of thousands of regular Wisconsinites – teachers, firefighters, police officers, students and constituents who have taken to the streets of Madison.

There are indeed rallies going on all around the country this week. (Here's the latest list we have.)

If you or a group you belong to can organize an even for Saturday, please let us know at rallies@pfaw.org. Also use that address to let us know if you hear or read of similar events taking place this Saturday near you.
