Debbie Lesko becomes part of the Trump Impeachment Nightmare Team

Individual One likes Debbie Lesko.

Last month, he tweeted that she was a Great American because of her defense of his impeachable behavior during the Ukraine Affair.

Now, the third President impeached in United States History has selected the Arizona Congressional District Eight Representative to be part of his Impeachment Nightmare (no way it is a dream) Team.

Representative Lesko tweeted that:

“I am honored to be named to President @realDonaldTrump’s Impeachment Team. Democrats are playing politics, and they are playing dirty. I will continue to fight against this corrupt & unfair process and look forward to assisting President Trump as a member of his Impeachment Team.”

Lesko will join seven other reactionary Republicans (Jim Jordan, John Ratcliffe, Mike Johnson, Mark Meadows, Lee Zeldin,  Elise Stefanik, and Doug Collins) in advising the 2016 Popular Vote Loser’s impeachment counsel.

Two of the Democrats looking to defeat Lesko in the November elections commented on the Lesko appointment.

Michael Muscato tweeted a reply to Ms. Lesko stating:

“Your first and most important responsibility is to protect and defend the Constitution. We can all appreciate loyalty and patriotism. However, that loyalty and patriotism is to the United States of America, not any political party or person. #AZ08 deserves better.” 

Muscato also added that “I’ll do the job she won’t.”

Bob Musselwhite commented:

“She is as usual very confused about her role in the U. S. House of Representatives. The House is supposed to provide objective, impartial oversight of the president.
Lesko knows well who butters her bread. To her, this is more important than her responsibilities under the Constitution.”

Both Muscato and Musselwhite are correct in stating that Lesko, along with the other Trumpist cult members, is more concerned with protecting their Duce than protecting the truth.

However, judging by today’s first day in the Impeachment Trial, Democrats may welcome the guidance Lesko and her colleagues are giving the Impeachment Nightmare Team. The President’s legal representation has been frankly awful, doing nothing but regurgitating inaccurate (okay false) talking points. That may work well with their Fox Island and Trump Zone Base but it will not persuade the majority of the country that favors the calling of more witnesses and is already disposed towards impeachment.

Voters and Pundits should pay attention to Debbie Lesko’s actions and the vision of the Democrats looking to defeat her in November 2020.

Lesko, as Mr. Muscato indicated in previous articles, has not voted the way most of her constituents would have wanted on vital social justice issues, and her blind devotion to Individual One in overlooking his trampling on the Constitution should give the people of Arizona Congressional District Eight pause in wanting to return her to Washington in 2021.
