Dems Rally Over Corned Beef and Camaraderie at Rollicking St. Patrick’s Day Party

Nearly 150 Democrats flocked to the annual St. Patrick’s Day Party staged by the Democrats of Greater Tucson at the exclusive Don Martin-i Club. A cavalcade of 20 candidates and elected officials noshed on hot corned beef, dressed in green, and outlined plans for political victory.

City Councilman Paul Cunningham, whose family started the tradition of a St. Patrick’s Party 20 years ago, was the gregarious master of ceremonies. His sister, Molly Carey, organized the delectable food, green decorations, and an Irish band, volunteering alongside Paul’s wife, Alisa, and mother, Marjorie.

Host Don Martin generously opened his elegant club and provided an open bar. Councilman Kevin Dahl generously made the personalized name tags.
