Divided loyalties for FOX News?

by David Safier

I may be reading too much into this. Sen. John Cornyn was on Fox News, and he was grilled about having earmarks totalling $16 million in the omnibus spending bill. He danced — I'm not planning to vote for the bill, so it doesn't matter. He danced again — I can defend my earmarks because they help our fighting men and women. And finally Cornyn was let off the hook, but some damage was done.

Until recently, Fox's allegiance has been mainly to Republicans, period. But their primary audience probably leans more Tea Party than the Republican Party "establishment." So who does Fox side with when the Partiers are fighting the Party? It will be interesting to see. Maybe even fun occasionally.
