Donald Trump And His Arizona Allies Are Trying To Incite A MAGA Riot At His Arraignment (Updated)

This is the same playbook for the January 6 MAGA/QAnon violent insurrection at our nation’s Capitol. Now this criminal is trying to overthrow the rule of law and justice system in America.

UPDATE: Inciting violence against the prosecutors and the court will get you pretrial detention.

UPDATE: Right-wing provocateur Ann Coulter is calling on the MAGA personality cult of Donald Trump to go full Heaven’s Gate cult and commit mass suicide. Take that fascist troll boy Charlie Kirk! Ann Coulter has been doing this far longer than your sorry ass.

  1. What do peaceful people intend to do when “lone maga-ot” nutjobs attack you and yours chanting “KKKari sent us!” I hope you have a Plan B.

  2. Zack Beauchamp writes, “The dangerous Republican freakout about Trump’s indictment,” https://www.vox.com/2023/6/9/23755171/trump-indictment-republican-reaction-doj-documents-mar-a-lago
    (excerpt)

[T]op Republicans — including Trump’s leading rival for the 2024 election — have shown no signs of changing their tune, and instead are lining up behind Trump’s conspiracy theory that special counsel Jack Smith is leading Joe Biden’s personal Stasi.

This paranoid reaction to Trump’s indictment is not a surprise. Over the past several years, the political right has been captured by a worldview that sees the entirety of mainstream society arranged against it. According to this thinking, America’s “woke” power elite, including ostensibly neutral institutions of governance like the Justice Department, is determined to stamp out the conservative way of life. You are either with us or against us — and attempting to send Trump to jail, whatever the reason, puts you on the wrong side.

Such once-fringe thinking now dominates the Republican Party at the very highest levels. Whether people like McCarthy and DeSantis actually believe it is immaterial: The fact that they feel the need to say such wild things indicates just how central anti-institutional paranoia has become in Republican politics.

The dangers of this going forward, as Trump faces trial and America faces an election where he is the GOP’s most likely presidential candidate, should not be underestimated. A democracy whose basic institutional functions come under attack is a democracy in mortal peril.

  3. UPDATE: Insider reports that White Christian Nationalist “Krazy Kari” Lake incited a Georgia crowd to political violence. “After Pence bails, Kari Lake fires up Georgia crowd by saying Republicans have guns – and Trump’s back”, https://www.businessinsider.com/kari-lake-says-gop-has-guns-and-trumps-back-2023-6

Speaking at a convention of Georgia Republicans, Lake told hundreds of delegates that the “75 million Americans” who voted for Trump are armed and ready to defend him.

“If you want to get to President Trump, you’re going to have to go through me and you’re going to have to go through 75 million Americans just like me,” Lake said, to raucous applause. Most of those Trump voters, she pointedly added, are “card-carrying members” of the National Rifle Association.

“That’s not a threat. That’s a public service announcement,” she said. “We will not let you lay a finger on President Trump. Frankly, now is the time to cling to our guns and our religion.”

The crowd responded with a standing ovation.

  4. UPDATE: The Guardian reports, “12m Americans believe violence is justified to restore Trump to power”, https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jun/09/january-6-trump-political-violence-survey

Two and a half years after the January 6 attack on the Capitol, an estimated 12 million American adults, or 4.4% of the adult population, believe violence is justified to restore Donald Trump to the White House.

[Disloyal MAGA Fascists who are domestic terrorists.]

Though the number of adults who believe this has declined since the insurrection, recent survey data from the University of Chicago reveal alarming and dangerous levels of support for political violence and conspiracy theories across the United States.

In new data from April shared exclusively with the Guardian, researchers found a continued support for violence to achieve various political goals on both sides of the aisle, and a general distrust for democracy.

The results are particularly alarming as the 2024 election approaches without essential safeguards that some lawmakers say could help prevent another violent attack on US democracy.

  5. Now, hold on, this may be an opportunity. At the first signs of another insurrection, Biden can order in US military, declare martial law and seize control of the entire state of Flori-Duh. In the ensuing chaos, Deathsantis can be sent to Gitmo and, accidently, waterboarded.

  6. Donald Trump is a Domestic Terrorism Leader, and should be apprehended and sent to the Terrorist Holding Facility, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
